Dr. Bernard Benjamin Albano is a board-certified cardiologist who formally trained both in the Philippine Heart Center and in Singapore General Hospital’s National Heart Centre (NHCS). He focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases including hypertensive heart disease, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathies, and electrical abnormalities of the heart (such as tachycardia and heart block). As a specialist in cardiac intervention, he performs Invasive Coronary Angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Angioplasty, Hemodynamic Studies, Percutaneous Transvenous Mitral Commissurotomy (PTMC) for Rheumatic Mitral Stenosis, Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) Device Closure, Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) Device Closure, and Temporary Pacemaker Insertion. As a Critical Care Medicine specialist, he renders intensive care to critically-ill ICU patients as well as post-cardiac surgery patients, including ECMO management. He conducts both virtual and (preferably) in-person clinics.
